International@CampusLife welcomes you to join us on our GO! Trip: Tenby
Date: Thursday 22nd July 2021
*Please Note - Pick-Up Location for Singleton Campus has changed to Wales National Pool, Swansea University Sports Village*
Time: Leaving from Wales National Pool, Swansea University Sports Village at 9:00am with a pick up at Bay Campus Bus Stops at 9:15am. The journey takes around 90 minutes. We’ll be departing Tenby at 5:00pm and arriving back in Swansea at around 6:30pm
Description: Tenby is one of the most iconic and well-visited seaside town in Wales. Steeped in ancient history and surrounded by an imposing medieval stone wall, Tenby has seen many changes through time, but it has been on the leisure map for over 200 years. With all that experience, the people of Tenby certainly know how to offer each and every visitor an unforgettable time.
When you visit Tenby you will discover a maze of narrow little streets. The roads are pedestrianised during the day in summer when the bars and restaurants set up al fresco seating. There are plenty of fascinating and quirky shops in the town specialising in locally produced items and plenty of attractions.
This trip is informal and relaxed, so you’ll have the day to spend as you wish – it’s a really welcoming town, and you can even take a boat trip to spot sealife or visit Caldey Island! We recommend heading over to Around Tenby the perfect vistors guide to one of the UK's best destinations to check out some things you might like to do with your day.
There isn’t a guided part of the trip – the town is really compact, so getting lost is virtually impossible. Our GO! Team trip leaders will be around too so if you have any questions, they’ll be available throughout the day.
This trip is suitable to all ages, so families are most welcome to come along! - children do need to be over 3 years old, be accompanied by an adult, and will require their own ticket and seat on the coach.
Important Information:
As you may have noticed, the weather in Wales can be unpredictable, so make sure you check the weather and bring something suitable for all possibilities! We’d also suggest bringing some water and snacks for the coach journey as there won’t be any stops between Swansea and Tenby.
COVID-19: This event involves coach travel. Although Welsh Government rules currently allow coaches to be full, we are operating this event at a reduced capacity to enable greater social distancing. While on board you must follow all guidelines including always wearing a mask.
Additional Information:
