THE LINE UP:

★★★ ALAN FRANCIS ★★

Meet your closing act: Scottish comedian Alan Francis first came to the attention of comedy audiences when he won the So You Think You’re Funny award in 1991.

In 1995 he co-wrote and co-starred in Jeffrery Dahmer Is Unwell at the Edinburgh Festival, and in 2002 he presented his one-man show Clobbered there.

He has worked as a writer/performer on Alistair McGowan’s Big Impression, BBC Scotland’s Pulp Video and The 11 O’Clock Show.

On radio, Alan co-starred in Radio 4’s The Alan Davies Show and has also contributed to Alan’s Big One FM and Radio Five Live’s The Treatment.

★★ PHILIPP KOSTELECKY ★★

Philipp’s style of comedy is a little bit silly, and a little bit witty, and a little bit blue.

He combines sharp social commentary with goofy energy, examining the mundane and dark aspects of culture and the human condition, making you belly-laugh, ponder, and giggle along the way.

His child-like energy, confident stage presence, and quick-fire performance style have propelled him up the UK comedy ladder, reaching the finals of the Roast Battle UK championship and winning the brutal Comedy Store King Gong Show.

Based in London, Philipp now performs across the UK and Europe.

★★ ALEX KITSON ★★

Alex Kitson is an “on the money funny” award-winning stand-up comedian, performer and writer.

New on the comedy scene in 2018 he has performed across the UK, written for both the BBC (‘Incredible… So clever’ – BBC Radio Bristol) and online content with millions of views. He reached the final of First Laugh 2020, New UK Online Comedian of the Year 2020, and the top 12 of Jason Manford’s New Act Competition in 2019.

He also performed in two five star runs at the Edinburgh Fringe with the Bristol Revunions (‘The entire ensemble is hilarious. Properly, effortlessly, hilarious’ – EdFringe Review).

In 2021 after the pandemic he took his first hour of stand-up around the country to critical acclaim in Southampton, Brighton, Exeter, Bath and Bristol. Culminating in a sell-out show in Bristol and winning the Bath Comedy Festival Award for Best Joke 2021. He also hosts and runs ‘This Next Act’ a series of weekly comedy nights in Central Bristol, and is the resident MC of several other comedy clubs and nights around the South West.
