Marcus Intalex, his music, his label Soul:r and his Soul:ution events
have been a huge part of Break Thru since it's beginning and even before
it, as part of Autumn.
Without his help and inspiration, there wouldn't be Break Thru.

His sudden passing has left us all deeply saddened and I've been two
minds as whether I could still do this Soul:ution or Break Thru without
him. But, after talking to his family, friends Luke, Del and Randall, we
felt he would have wanted the event to go on.
He was as always
looking forward to Birmingham and playing a stack of new Soul:r music
from himself and Spirit, LSB, DRS, Mako, Tokyo Prose and more, mixed in
with the forgotten gems he was so good at unearthing. The growth and
progression of uncompromising underground music was his passion.

Thanks to the kindness of the artists playing and Amusement13, as a
comparatively small thank you for everything he's given over the years,
all proceeds from the event will go to his family to help them with
arrangements and through this difficult time.
