Music Industry Mondays (MIM) is a free weekly event series held every Monday, bringing artists, creatives, and industry professionals together with guest speakers from across the music industry. Each session explores a different area of the business - from artists and managers to labels, festivals, publishing, marketing, and beyond. Expect honest insight, practical advice, and real-world experience, followed by a jam session and open Q&A.

Meet This Week’s Guest

Tashomi Balfour is an internationally recognised saxophonist, live performer and musical director known for her versatility, musicianship and dynamic stage presence.

Across her career, Tashomi has performed with globally renowned artists including Usher, Santan Dave,Alesha Dixon, Giggs, Donae'o & Sammie appearing across major tours, festivals, broadcasts and live stages worldwide.

Blending influences from jazz, soul, pop and contemporary music, Tashomi has established herself as an in-demand live and session musician, respected for both her technical ability and expressive performance style. Alongside performing, she is passionate about collaboration, improvisation and helping emerging musicians navigate the realities of the live music industry.

This special edition of Music Industry Mondays will conclude with a live jam session, giving attendees the opportunity to connect, play and create with fellow musicians in an open collaborative space.
