Event is free.
A weekly space for actors to practise, experiment and play. Sessions will vary and will work off the input of members. Biography: The group is held by actor James Cooney. James studied at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, the school founded by Paul McCartney. Since graduating James has worked at The National Theatre, Old Vic New Voices, High Tide Festival Theatre, BBC TV and many more.
“My hope with this group is that actors can keep their skills fresh and maintain that all important confidence and trust in their own ability. Working freelance can become isolated and often the motivation to act and create performance can get lost. This group will offer the chance for actors to remember a rule drilled in to me by a great teacher of mine: “It’s the best game in the world and you’re playing it with your best friends.” Cheesy? Probably. Does it work? Absolutely! Come down. It’ll be fun. If it isn’t, at least there’s tea and cake.”
James has kindly offered to start the group with a pay as you feel model for his time, on top of the Ziferblat rate. The group will lead to a series of classes by James hosted here in Ziferblat.
