DAC After Hours: For the Community presents, Across Borders is a vibrant social night of live music, spoken word, culture and connection, presented by Alta Natives.
As a warm-up to Black History Month, Across Borders brings together Black artists across cultures, backgrounds and creative disciplines, celebrating the richness and diversity of Black creative expression.
Alta Natives is a creative platform led by Greo that brings together artists and creatives who navigate both artistic and professional worlds. Through alternative music, spoken word and live performance, the platform creates spaces for cultural exchange, collaboration and community.
Featuring Michelle Nnayelugo, Baddestoyoko, Shore As The Tide, Greo, Shank1e and Black Kat GH, the evening moves across poetry, spoken word, soul, rap and Afrobeats, exploring identity, heritage, belonging and the stories that travel with us wherever we go.
But the experience goes beyond the stage. Performances are interwoven with DJ-led social sessions, drinks and networking, giving audiences, artists and creatives the opportunity to meet, mingle and build new connections. Guided by an MC, the atmosphere gradually evolves from intimate performances into an energetic After Hours social.
Across Borders is where different voices, sounds and stories meet and where the audience becomes part of the conversation.
Come for the art. Stay for the music, drinks and connections.
