SpaceBar Comedy Club has quickly established itself as one of Sunderland’s most exciting venues, part-arcade, part-events space, consistently attracting packed audiences and showcasing some of the finest comedy talent from across the UK.
Born from a collaboration between Sunderland’s own SpaceBar Arcade and North East not-for-profit comedy company Little Robot CIC, the club is building something genuinely special: a welcoming, affordable, high quality comedy night where established names, rising stars and brand-new talent share the same stage.Alongside its headline performances, the club’s popular new act competition has already provided a platform for dozens of emerging comedians, reinforcing SpaceBar and Little Robot CIC’s commitment to developing the next generation of North East comedy

Ryan CullenIrish comedian Ryan Cullen is one of the most distinctive and uncompromising voices on the comedy circuit today. Originally from Donegal and now based in Edinburgh, his dark, razor-sharp one-liners and fearless approach to taboo subjects have made him a favourite at comedy clubs and festivals across the UK and Europe.
Ryan has appeared at major events including the Edinburgh Fringe, Adelaide Fringe Festival and Altitude Comedy Festival, and has supported comedy stars including Daniel Sloss, Theo Von and Steve-O. He is also the host of the Absolute Cuts podcast with Mark Nelson and runs Roast Battle Scotland at Monkey Barrel Comedy.
Tom LittleAward-winning comedian Tom Little is a truly original performer whose unique voice and wonderfully eccentric style have earned him a reputation as one of the UK comedy scene’s most inventive actsWinner of the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year award — previously won by the likes of Johnny Vegas, Jason Manford, Rhod Gilbert and Romesh Ranganathan — Tom was also a BBC Radio New Comedy Award finalist and received an Amused Moose Comedy Award nomination for his acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe show.

Si BeckwithAs heard on BBC Radio, Si Beckwith is a Harrogate Comedian of the Year finalist known for his razor-sharp writing, inventive storytelling and unique outlook.Si has supported some of the biggest names in stand-up including Carl Hutchinson, Janine Harouni, Gavin Webster, Nabil Abdulrashid, Sukh Ojla and Eric Neumann
