Dan Lyons / Grace Inspace / Misty Miller & more - EP Launch

Dan Lyons - 'Special People EP' launch party at The Windmill.

Dan Lyons

Dan Lyons is a musician and songwriter based in Margate, Kent. He cut his teeth playing in Fat White Family and Phobophobes, and co writing songs with Misty Miller. His sound has been described as "Quintessential surrealist Anglo – pop”. Echoes of Echo & The Bunnymen and ‘Rubber Soul’ era Beatles entwine with lo-fi sensibilities that nod towards The Go Betweens, Syd Barrett and The Clean.

“… breath-taking beauty, marrying the cohabiting ideals of sin and redemptive innocence in the same fashion as freedom springs from the oppressive cloud of a dystopian metropolis.” - So Young Magazine

“unable to fade into the background, his magnetic presence, musicality, charisma and vulnerability can end up dominating a gig; therefore this venture into solo recording makes total sense.” - HERO Magazine

" ...one of the hidden architects behind some of your favourite bands.” - Clash Magazine

Grace Inspace

Grace Inspace is a nocturnal part-time drummer, full-time lyricist with a penchant for vegan baking and a belief in laziness as a virtue. Her broad sound blends folk, country, hard rock and pop to create something that is musically unique. A sound she dubs "protest pop"; political and social commentary wrapped up in catchy choruses and danceable beats. With her "bold, vivid melodies" and lyrics that "pick apart the psychological norms that underpin society", Grace in Space is in on the ground floor of something truly exciting.

"...her pop vision is individual, delving deep under her skin, but it also reflects the world it's created in. Dubbed 'protest pop' by Grace herself, she matches bold, vivid melodies to lyrics that pick apart the economic and psychological norms that underpin society." - Clash Magazine

Misty Miller

Misty Miller is a musician and songwriter from South London. After releasing her debut record 'The Whole Family Is Worried' through major label imprint Relentless/Sony in 2016, she became disillusioned with the business and took things back to basics, singing and writing songs for her lo fi pop band Bad Parents. Now Misty is back singing under her own name, resurrected and revived. Expect an achingly beautiful voice and lyrics about love, loss and everything in between.

" ... filled with power, sensitivity and the often dark experiences of a young woman in the music industry and delivered with the tuneful energy of vintage Blondie and Pretenders singles. " - The Guardian

William de Courcy

One half of The de Courcy Brothers. William is a pianist and song writer from Canada, currently living between London and Paris where he's the resident pianist at Le Grand Hotel Amour.
