Introducing one of our invited artists flying over from Southern Africa, Botswana - ABITOLA. I know how much you love your background checks, here’sa little info on one of the artists signed to Trickz Entertainment. The ‘..& Treatz’ Label is ever expanding. Welcoming artists, chefs, makeup-artists, hosts and more talented individuals into the circle. Does not matter the experience and so forth, all are encouraged to network and build their labels, careers in the business. Come and show support, network with people, music, good food , drinks. Born Moses Karabo T. Abbey, ABITOLA is a Hip-hop recording artist and record producer (Tolagothelighter) from Tlokweng, Botswana who fell in love with music at the tender age of 9 with the passion to create & redifine the revolution of Botswana Hip Hop music. Pursing music professionally started in 2018 with self-produced single releases followed by a debut industry production placement on Dj Kenny's debut single 'Going Up' which featured Hip Hop Motswako veteran & TV personality - Melo, BanT & Surry Sosa. Tola then collaborated with Shaba Stele & Teddy West to establish an independent farm label, The Golden Audio, of which the main vision was to groom and develop talent before it was discovered and assimilated into the industry.

2019 saw the release of ABITOLA's debut radio single 'Ride With A Badmon' which featured fellow label mate Shaba Stele & Surry Sosa, of which the song song was produced by him & Shaba Stele. Following this release, he got to produce the 2X Yarona FM Award winning hitsong 'Pelo' by Superstar Trio, FME Djs which featured ATI, Mjamaica & Han-C. This then was followed by the release of FME DJs' debut album 'Trouble' of which he Executivly Produced. Working on this album got him to work with other local profound industry heavyweights such as Han-C, ATI, Scar, Zeus, Veezo View, Thato Jessica, Jordan Moozy, Flex The Ninja & Amo Bratz amongst others. The year went to an end with the release of his 2nd radio single 'Shawty Come Closer' which was also self-produced which featured fellow label chums Teddy West & Shaba Stele.

Outside the music, ABITOLA collaborated with his fellow cohorts Teddy West & Shaba Stele to launch their own podcast platform 'The Golden Audio Podcast' on SoundCloud which grew over 10K streams from the first season making it hottest urban audio podcast platform in Botswana during 2019 (ran from Oct. - Dec 2019). The podcast was aimed at promoting local acts by providing a media platform for young upcoming creatives to show case & engage their arts with the rightful market and audience locally which would help bridge the gap between creators engaging with their audience. Some of the guests included a pianters, photographer, musicians, a fashion designer & social media personalities amongst others. The main mission is to grow and globalized local arts & culture through collaboration, with a vision of promoting local creative content to the world while empowering youth to own their craft.

2020 began on a high note with the release of a single 'My Baby' which featured Shaba Stele & Click K44 produced by Slow Burn followed by a couple of singles during the lockdown sessions after the vast outbreak of the deadly Covid19 virus which shutdown the entertainment industry and affected musicians and creatives in all way possible. Proceeding on with the year during the lockdown season, we saw the launch of the #RoadTo50KStreams campaign which engaged ABITOLA & Shaba Stele on a song cover for Miss Pru Dj's 'Price to Pay' tallying over 70K streams to date on SoundCloud. The campaign was aimed at engaging local youth to support & promote local music to help build on the podcast's mission & vision, getting support from other local creatives and public figure such as Nijel Amos & ATI. We then saw the establishment of the Kings of Bechuanaland, a trio consisting of ABITOLA, Shaba Stele & Teddy West with the release of their much anticipated debut album Kings, a triple disk set that consists of Girls & Guitars by Shaba Stele, Location Projects by ABITOLA & Spitting Cobra by Teddy West. The album took the whole country by storm birthing a new sound to Botswana Hip-hop & RnB having featured the legendary Queen of AfroPop Maxy Khoisan & late Queen Of Rap Sasa Klaas, charting for over 72 weeks across various streaming platforms & radio stations. They then collaborated with Lifestyle Pub & Shisanyama Riverwalk to become the first Botswana Artists to launch thier local meal collaboration, 'The Kings Meal' - which comprised of 4 Wings, T-bone Steak, Wors & Fries/Salad with a copy of the Kings album attached along.

2021 took off with the release of the The King of Moshate EP during the first week of January, which was a solo release that featured fellow label mates at the time Shaba Stele, Jack Monster, Vigos, Ikon & YB Picasso. ABI then came through with a follow up 3 track EP release tittled 'Better Late Than Never' which featured Gappy ROberts, Thami Ubuntu, Shaba Stele & Dr. Dasu. In closing, The Kings of Bechuanaland came together to release the 2nd edition to the Kings' sequel: Kings2Gods on the Christmas eve of 2021. The album embraced a fusion of Setswana & the new age Trap music to produce a revelation on both genres & cultures.

2022 was quite eventful for Tolagothelighter as a producer, tallying over10 album placements and 7 executive production credits for engineering:

ABITOLA as an artist signed a 3 year distribution deal with American based Publishing & distribution company Symphonic Distribution begging of the summer 2022.

So far the multi talented King of Moshate has released 2 singles under Symphonic and has sighted a released of the 2nd Edition to the King of Moshate and 2 other solo projects expected drop sometime during 2023.
