After a short break, our Classic Album Listening Parties at the Artful Dodger in York are back baby! We have had Bowie, Roxy Music, the Clash, Led Zeppelin, and Bob Marley.
The next one will be on Sunday 28th April and will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the release of David Bowie’s iconic 1974 album ‘Diamond Dogs’. Bowie conceived this weird and scary post-apocalyptic vision after planning a musical version of George Orwell’s 1984 only to have permission refused by the Orwell estate. So instead we got Hunger City, Halloween Jack, and the Diamond Dogs! Once again we will be playing an actual record! Enjoy a fab, free night, listening to great music! “This ain’t rock ‘n’ roll, this is genocide!”
