National radio support has come from BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 6 and Amazing Radio and the band have been showcased by BBC Introducing as a featured artist. They’ve also had loyal support from the blog community and have recorded live sessions for the BBC’s legendary ‘Whispering’ Bob Harris ,Bandstand Busking, Songs From The Shed, Sofar Sounds and many more. Their debut album,‘All That We Had, We Stole ’was released on 10Th February 2017.
A poetic and literate singer songwriter hailed as having a voice that will stop you in your tracks, Emily Mae Winters’ songs are quickly permeating the folk and song writing scene. She embarks on her second headline tour of the year this Autumn/ Winter. Her debut album, released in April, built upon the transatlantic sounds on her EP ‘Foreign Waters’, which earned her a host of emerging artist awards nominations including winning the Guardian songwriting contest. It was also selected as one of Acoustic Magazine’s ‘Best Summer Releases’. She also received a scholarship to showcase with EFDSS (English Folk Song and Dance Society) at Folk Alliance International in the U.S. ‘Siren Serenade’ blends together traditional and modern instrumental sounds of folk and transatlantic music. Produced by BBC Radio 2 Folk award winner Ben Walker (musical partner to Josienne Clarke) the album is being received with widespread critical acclaim receiving radio plays including BBC Radio 2’s Folk Show, BBC Radio 2 Good Morning Sunday, countless other BBC regional folk shows, as well as International Folk and Americana Radio in the US. It is an 11 track album of original contemporary and traditional folk songs which draw inspiration from poetry, myths and stories of love, loss, fate and memory. This album features a full ensemble and choral sound with arrangements including a team, made up, of some of the best musicians currently on the British Folk scene, including collaborations with BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winner Ben Walker, Hannah Sanders and Ben Savage, Evan Carson (Sam Kelly and the Lost Boys) Lukas Drinkwater and more.
