Heartbreak Productions is thrilled to be touring Northanger Abbey for the first time this summer. Northanger Abbey features all of Jane Austen’s classic trademarks – comical and sharp social commentary alongside pertinent insights into friendships and romance. It tells the story of Catherine Morland, a naïve girl from a small village with a somewhat overactive imagination. While making her way into Bath society she discovers that life is very far from the fantasy she has read about in novels.
Renowned for their unique style, Heartbreak Productions tour their brand of outdoor theatre to venues across the UK with a small but multi-talented cast of actors. Northanger will be hitting Manchester at the end of the summer, having delighted across the UK for the previous ten weeks:
“The cast take up many different roles, and as ever Heartbreak’s stage craft and use of audience participation is exemplary… a witty take on an Austen classic in the openair.” – Nick LeMursier, The Leamington Courier
