MST minus zero: MFA Contemporary Performance Productions (Chutzpah)

Manchester School of Theatre (MST) invites you to a double bill of cutting-edge performance practice from our MFA Contemporary Performance students – class of 2023! This year, MST minus zero will premiere two original works from the theatre makers of the future, at the final stage of their studies here at the prestigious Manchester School of Art, ready to launch their professional careers in the performance industry.

Chutzpah is our first performance of both nights, beginning at 7pm - 8:15pm in Grosvenor East 1.04 and performed by Olivia Banc.

Description:

No matter the culture, the kitchen is the heart of any home. Come gather ‘round the table for a truly unique dinner party full of stories, questions, laughs, and maybe even some dinner. In a fake kitchen in a real theatre, we will explore how home is more than a house.

Chutzpah is a theatrical live-cooking experience utilizing cooking and food to explore personal identity, heritage, and notions of home and belonging.

Event information:

Chutzpah will include live-cooking and a dish will be served that will contain dairy and gluten allergens.

Olivia Banc will contact each audience member before the show via email. If you have a dairy or gluten allergy, please reply to Olivia's email to see if an alternative will be available. Please note that there may be traces of dairy or gluten if an alternative is provided.

Please note that there is a reduced capacity for this event (16 tickets available). Please book with plenty of time to avoid disappointment.

Ticket information:

Please buy your free tickets to each show individually, you can also purchase a free ticket that includes 1 drink that will be given to you when you present your ticket by our theatre ushers. If you choose to buy a ticket that includes a drink, you do not need to order a separate ticket to the show. You may also purchase a ticket that includes a drink for our second show of the night.

The Grove Café will be closed on the night and not open for orders.
