As part of Black History Month, we invite you to join on us a trip to the International Slavery Museum, which is based at the Albert Docks.
The museum gives an overview of the transatlantic slave trade, which lasted for more than 2000 years. You can learn about the trade triangle and Liverpool's part to play in this, European traders, life on board slave trips, arrival in the Americas and more.
The museum also has a new, temporary exhibition , 'Ink and Blood: Stories of Abolition'. It explores the personal stories of previously enslaved people and the lasting legacies of, and contemporary responses to, abolition.
This trip is in conjunction with Liverpool Guild of Students - meet your President Yasmin and other LJMU and University of Liverpool students at 12 by the entrance to the Guild (by the Starbucks)
