Full Circle returns to Joshua Brooks on Friday 23 October. Shadow Child, Huxley and Jimmy Switch take over the newly refurbished basement under the arches on Princess Street. 10pm till 4am.
Full Circle has spent years putting proper house line-ups in front of Manchester crowds, from the basement to Albert Hall, and the booking policy has never really changed: artists who can actually play, given enough room to do it. This one is a three-hander built for a long night.
Shadow Child is Simon Neale, one of the most restless producers in British dance music. He arrived on Dirtybird and has since built a sound that pulls modern house through speed garage, hardcore and drum and bass, most fully realised on his album Connected. He holds a weekly Rinse residency and has never been the sort to play it safe.
Huxley is a mainstay of the UK house scene, a producer with a deep, stripped-back groove and a long list of collaborations, Shadow Child among them. Reliably one of the most musical DJs on any bill he appears on.
Jimmy Switch completes the line-up, and is a familiar name across Full Circle's shows.
Joshua Brooks has been a cornerstone of Manchester nightlife for over twenty years, and the basement has just had a full refurbishment. Brick arches, low ceilings and a system with the weight to carry this kind of bill. It is a room built for exactly this.
