Full Circle hands the Joshua Brooks basement to Lee Foss for a day party, 4pm til 10pm, with resident Lily C-D alongside him. For a night built on the deep house era, this is about as fitting a booking as it gets.
Lee Foss came up out of Chicago, raised on the city's house and rave heritage before crossing paths with Jamie Jones, with whom he founded Hot Creations in 2010. The label went on to shape a whole era of house music and launched the careers of Patrick Topping, Richy Ahmed and wAFF. He was also one quarter of Hot Natured, and his Hot Creations cut Electricity with MK and Anabel Englund remains a defining vocal house record.
Since 2016 he has run Repopulate Mars, giving early platforms to John Summit, Mau P, Michael Bibi and Joshwa. For Full Circle he plays a special deep house set, back towards the slower, deeper, more soulful end of things.
Full Circle resident Lily C-D opens the room and holds it through the afternoon.
The Princess Street basement is a low, intimate room under bricked arches, with a Void Acoustics system that rewards exactly this kind of music. Daylight outside, deep house under the bricks. Doors 4pm til 10pm, last entry 6:30pm. 18+.
