The Telescopes + Red Mar, Manhole

The eclectic Stereo Sanctity night returns to Norwich on 12th November for another selection of outstanding live music to blow your tiny minds. Line up:

The Telescopes

The Telescopes are a pioneering force in the UK’s experimental music scene, blending noise rock, shoegaze, and psychedelic soundscapes into a hypnotic sonic experience. Formed in 1987 by visionary artist Stephen Lawrie, the band has continually evolved, embracing everything from ambient drone to avant-garde dream pop. With a revolving lineup and a fearless approach to sound, The Telescopes have released over 16 studio albums and influenced a generation of artists including Mogwai, Portishead, and Radiohead . Their live shows are immersive and unpredictable, described by critics as “a revolution of the psyche.” Whether you're a long-time fan or a curious newcomer, The Telescopes promise a journey into the outer reaches of musical exploration.

Red Mar

Red Mar produce an experimental and highly visceral form of rock music. The project was formed out of exploratory improvisations and journeys in sound between member Miles Lukoszeviese and Harry Fisher while in high school. Since then, it has established a group of like minded multi-instrumentalist musicians who together create a precise and expressive form of noise-rock.

Red Mar's music is characterized by its visceral and expressive nature, often transitioning between moments of quiet intensity and chaotic noise. Their sound has been compared to bands like This Heat, Slint, and Don Caballero, with influences from post-rock and other experimental genres.

Manhole

Manhole are a 3 piece melancholic and melodic art rock band from Norwich. They blend angular guitar work with droney melodies, which creates a sound which sits somewhere between post-punk and progressive rock.
