MYP Educational @ Bloc - Inflation? What's that? - 18.07.22

For our second Educational event of the year, we'll be hosting an exclusive event on Monday 18th July at Bruntwood Bloc, Marble Street on this year's hot topic - inflation. No matter what industry or sector you work within, inflation is impacting us all on a daily basis both in our personal and professional lives.

We're looking forward to welcoming Malcolm Smith from Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS) back, having presented previously on the importance of Negotiation Skills in 2019.

The approach to negotiating in times of high inflation is not quite a lost art, but many of today’s generation of managers have not experienced the joys of inflation, and are therefore trying to adjust to a novel environment.

During times like this, it’s about giving clients choices rather than ultimatums.

Is it here to stay? Once it’s out of the box, it’s hard to get it back in, and some of the tactics used are painful! This talk is about a rational approach to a “new” phenomenon.

The event will start at 5:30pm, with the talk from Malcolm starting at 6pm and lasting for around 40-45 minutes. To follow, two drinks will be provided by Trove, with the event expected to finish at around 7:30pm.

Tickets will be £15, including two drinks and with £1 going to our charity of the year, The Prince's Trust.
