The Balkan Village Band is a group of enthusiastic musicians who share a passion for music from Eastern Europe and the Balkans. Taught and led by violinist and singer Gundula Gruen, they come together regularly to learn and perform music from Eastern Europe and the Balkans. Their repertoire includes a colourful concoction of well-known Gypsy Romani classics and folk pieces as well as some rare treasures of Europe’s Eastern regions, performed with enthusiasm and zest, and the raw energy charm of a romantic Balkan Village.
