The Playhouse Project teams up with SUPERMASSIVE to bring families a futuristic immersive rave experience like no other — transmitting sound beams from the rooftop of Depot Mayfield! 

Explore SUPERMASSIVE, a surreal, hands-on digital playground filled with interactive tech, musical machines, projection-mapped puzzles, and strange inventions. Move at your own pace and re-enter the experience as many times as you like. Supermassive is suitable for all ages, featuring light installations, textures, and sound-reactive sculptures. 

THE SMOKEY BALLROOM A stunning space filled with incandescent lights and vapor, featuring: DJ Moodymanc (Danny Ward) — a renowned DJ, producer and musician with roots in the 90s club scene. Having worked with the likes of Fila Brazilia, Nightmares on Wax and Rae & Christian, his ‘Moodymanc’ project has earned him global recognition among House music lovers. Expect a mix of Disco, House, Afro, Latin & Breaks.

Hosted by loveable MC Kwasi aka The Smile Factory:a true Manchester legend. 

Interactive Zones

INITIATE Engage your curiosity with custom levers, sliders, and buttons powered by sensors. Each interaction triggers responsive light and sound with a deeply tactile feel, ending in a shrinking illuminated ring — a playful nod to Zeno’s paradox and a reminder to pause and engage. 

TRIANGULATE A mirrored chamber beneath a grid of triangular ceiling tiles immerses you in shifting light and infinite reflections. Lose orientation as depth and direction blur between the familiar and the surreal.

IMAGINE Your silhouette transforms in real time with AI art powered by motion tracking and voice input. Move and speak to create shifting visuals generated by Stable Diffusion — where imagination meets technology. 

STACK Build, toss, and experiment with oversized foam cubes that interact with shifting projections in real time. The space blends architecture, light, and motion — sometimes even mistaking you for a cube! 

COMPOSE Mix beats and samples with the Beat Jigsaw — a wooden-block DJ system that invites collaboration and play. No skill required, just shuffle blocks to create spontaneous, genre-blending soundscapes. 

ENCOUNTER Step into a living light tunnel that responds to your voice with synchronized light and speech. Press the button, speak, and watch the interactive sculpture visually and verbally engage with you. 

SCULPT Shape psychedelic hills and valleys in a modern Zen Garden. Projectors and sensors transform sand in real time with colorful topographic maps and particle simulations — an immersive, meditative space. 

CONCOCT Mix RGB light using glowing pipes over a white liquid bowl. Sensors respond to your color blending, turning this tactile experience into a theatrical lesson in additive color theory. 

CONNECT Create your own soundscape by plugging cables into a visual synthesizer. Match colors and unlock hidden modes as you explore playful, interactive music technology.

ELECTRON — an interactive walkabout robot with lasers and strobes Parachute games, bubbles, glow sticks, inflatables & giant balloons.

The GlamShack Rave Essentials: Glitter, colorful hair braids, and temporary tattoos — add sparkle and style (cash or card accepted).
