Alan Fletcher has worked as an actor and musician for more than 45 years in Australiaand the United Kingdom.As an actor, Alan is a household name because of his portrayal of Dr Karl Kennedy for30 years on the iconic Australian drama Neighbours.As amusician, Alan has performed as a front man for rock band Waiting Room thatplayed a weekly residency in Melbourne for twelve years and toured the UK ten timesover eight years.In 2020 Alan moved away from Rock and commenced a solo career in Americana/ Alt-Country and Folk. Collaborating with producers Lachlan Bryan and Damian CafarellaAlan’s releases include the EP ‘Dispatches in 2023, an album ‘The Point’ in 2024 and hislatest album ‘Back to School’ inFebruary 2026.Alanalsoreleased a CountryMusic duet entitled TELL ‘EM with his partner of 35 yearsand fellow band mate Jennifer HansenIn Summer 2024 Alan toured the UK with a full band, playing 20 sell-out dates in venuesthe length and breadth of the country, including a performance at the prestigiousKendal Calling Festival in Lowther.In 2025 Alan’s band played 34 dates throughout theUK and Ireland playing to thousands of enthusiastic supporters and Americana music fans.
