Following cancellation of our May event we will be back at THE 3MT on WED 1st July.
You can be part of our 20th year of short film events in Manchester by submitting your latest film to us now. All entries should be in by mid June. The event is already half full so please submit your entries early or if you have something you are expecting to complete in June, please let us know as we may be able to extend out entry deadline for you.
Whether you are from MANCHESTER AND NORTH WEST FILMMAKERS or further afield, submissions are open now and we would love to see what new films you have for us.We are open not only to all filmmakers in the North/North West of England but also we welcome films from outside the region but you must be able to come to the event to represent your film and to participate in Q&A following the screening. And of course it's a great event to do some networking with like minded folks.
Contact us for an application form and for details of how to submit your film ( by DVD screener only) or download the form from the "files" link on the Kino Shorts group page here https://www.facebook.com/groups/kinoshorts/
You can also download the form from our web site here http://kinofilm.org.uk/kino-news-call-for-entries-to-kino-shorts/Films can be any genre as long as they are completed in the last 12 months and no longer than 20 mins (unless agreed in advance).
Fiction, drama, animation, experimental, documentary, artist film and video and music videos are eligible.
We can only accept films longer than 20 mins in exceptional circumstances and if we have room in the programme nearer the date, you must contact us at least 2 weeks in advance of the screening.
Our nights feature short Q&A's with the filmmakers after each film when the filmmaker is available. For those submitting a film from outside the region who cannot make the trip to the event we will often propose a Skype Q&A.All interviews are filmed and uploaded to our you tube channel for availability for everyone to view (see previous interviews here) http://www.youtube.com/kinofilmManc
