Ain’t is Hanna Baker Darch, George Ellerby, Ed Randall, Joe Lockstone, and Isaac Griffiths. Ed and George formed the band over a shared love of the stranger end of ‘90s guitar music, and the band’s other members joined shortly after.

Following a busy year of gigging around London in 2023, Ain’t released ‘Oar’ and ‘Teething’ throughout 2024 and received praise from the likes of Dork, So Young, Clash, and were made a ‘best new artist of 2024’ by Stereogum.

Ain’t continue to capitalise on their reception moving into 2025 having completed a UK tour with US band Thus Love and the release of ‘Pirouette’, with Clash magazine describing the track as ‘re-contextualising 90s alt-rock tropes, their melodic appeal shines through. Perfect for sunny Spring days, Ain’t leave the production a little torn and tattered, giving the track a DIY effect’.

Moving between the tender and morose to the blistering and explosive, the band’s sound is underpinned by evocative lyrics exploring subjects from 18th century smut to 80’s horror films.
