GMIF: Intro To Game Of The Scene with Kate McCabe

What even is GAME OF THE SCENE? How does this differ from plot/narrative style? How is it different than short form games? What do we do once we FIND the game? How many can play the game? Will the game ever end? All these questions and more will be addressed in this crash course class! 

We'll learn the vocabulary, the moves, and how to follow the fun. This class will appeal to those who like sketch comedy, those who want a new tool for their own shows, and those who are interested in improving their play in formats like the Armando. Whatever your pathway to learning improv has been, it's never too late to learn and love GAME.

This workshop is part of the Greater Manchester Improv Festival (GMIF) 5th-7th June 2026. From up and coming acts to award-winning show the festival showcases local talent and visiting shows.
