Yungen:

Hailing from South London at 24 years old this musician
is wise beyond his years and ready to smash into the music industry. If you haven’t already heard of him get ready for the arrival of Yungen.
As a musician Yungen is not only innovative and forward thinking but his independence and drive set him aside from his peers in UK rap. Having been championed by many, including self made Jamal Edwards of
SB.TV, as one of the most exciting prospects to arise from the underground Yungen’s lyrical flamboyance
coupled with his honesty and intelligence have gained him a solid, active and loyal fan base. Yungen has been making waves on the underground circuit since early 2011 when he dropped his first ‘F64’with
SB.TV. This video combined with his ‘Warm Up Session’received over a million views on YouTube.

Peaking at Number 1 in the iTunes Hip Hop/Rap charts & Number 11 in the overall iTunes album chart, the success of Project Black & Red led to a sold out headline show at Islington O2 Academy.

Yungen started rapping on his estate at a time where older counterparts were arguable defined by their lyrical ability. Initially, for Yungen, rapping was a way to gain respect among his peers as well as a much-
needed hobby to allow him to rise above the constraints of council estate life, but soon his
talents were recognized not only by his peers on the estate but also within the music
industry. Yungen’s consistent benchmark of lyricism, alongside as his ever grow

ing fanbase caught the attention of fellow UK rapstars Krept & Konan who recruited him to their collective ‘Play Dirty and by 2012 this once shy lyricist had accelerated from a young boy trying to convey
his life in words to an internet sensation. With his newfound confidence Yungen continued to build
on his internet success and went on to collaborate with established artists such as Tinchy Stryder, Chip, Angel, G Frsh and Sneakbo. All of which firmly established him as part of the new wave of UK rappers steadily infecting popular British music.
