CRANE HOUSE live at The Lost Wanderer, Newcastle

Newcastle-based 5-piece CRANE HOUSE deliver a soulful blend of original alt-folk and dreamgaze sounds. As a dual-fronted band, their sound is driven by rich female harmonies and storytelling lyrics, with intricate guitar lines and fiddle melodies woven through.

Drawing inspiration from the likes of The Staves, Portishead, Florence and the Machine and Laura Marling, their music is intriguingly dynamic, ethereal and atmospheric.

Arliston have always captured the complexity of life’s grey areas, but with their recent releases, they’ve begun to embrace a more vivid, expansive sound. Far from being confined to a specific style, the London-based duo are evolving their music — blending introspection with clarity, and balancing melancholia with a newfound momentum

Chloe, Alex, Michael and Lewis have been playing in various bands together since their teens. It was only a matter of time before Chloe & the Brainwaves would breathe life. Their broad influences can be heard from Jeff Buckley to Joni Mitchell and Soundgarden to Big Thief. Chloe’s haunting vocals laid upon powerful guitar riffs and killer melodies will compel you to put the songs on a constant loop
