FLIM NITE presents Duno (Manchester)

What would the parallel universes of ‘Dune’ and ‘Juno’ look like smashed together and enacted by comedians, theatremakers, writers and musicians?

It’s the high concept mash-up no one asked for, and our penultimate NITE at The Three Minute Theatre!!!

We have tasked our artists with somehow creating a piece of art with sections of both ‘Juno’ and ‘Dune’ to re-enact, riff around, mash up or explode. Marvel as our acts splice a high-fantasy epic with a coming-of-age comedy live on stage! There’s no way of telling what will happen!

FLIM NITE is a monthly experimental performance night based at Three Minute Theatre in Manchester's Northern Quarter. We’re in our fifth year and showing no signs of stopping.

We will not be showing a movie. We will be making a FLIM.

!!! LINE-UP TO BE ANNOUNCED !!!

There are THREE open mic slots available! Email us at flimnitemanchester@gmail.com for a slot. Slots are three minutes long and material must be both ‘Juno’ and ‘Dune’-related. Remember it's flim as in FLIM and nite as in NITE. Got it?

“The group take a hammer to well-known films and smash them into something completely different – think a smorgasbord of musical interludes, a dab of poetry and an added bit of standup comedy. Trust us, it’s unlike any other night around!” - The Skinny

"With all the ramshackle pop-anarchism of Never Mind The Buzzcocks and the warmth, variety and bonhomie of a fringe arts night, FLIM NITE is going from strength to strength and is not to be missed." – NARC

“Fast becoming one of the city’s best events. If you’ve never been to FLIM NITE, GO!” – Manchester Wire
