Black Kat Boppers formed in December 2009 after some chance meetings, a shared love for rockin’ roots music, speculative phone calls and a little bit of fate. There’s been triumphant performances at Glastonbury, Port Eliot, Bestival & Hyde Park (with Blur & The Specials). They’ve rocked Notting Hill Carnival, Rockabilly Rave & Latitude, not to mention performing a memorable set with Florence and The Machine at Bob Geldof’s 60th birthday party!

Sound as Funk is a DJ collective based in Southampton delivering an expertly crafted mix of funk, soul, disco and classic hip hop.

Alex, Matt and Royston have been djing for decades playing festivals, clubs and bars throughout the U.K. bringing their unique blend of funky beats all mixed, scratched and cut up seamlessly squeezing any genre that will get a dance floor grooving.

Expect tunes from James Brown, The Sugar Hill Gang, Lyn Collins, Kool and the Gang, Prince, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Grandmaster Flash, Sly and the Family Stone, Fat Backband, De la Soul amongst a few.
