On Monday 7th September, Portsmouth’s longest-running weekly alternative night joins the 27 Club — and unlike Kurt, Amy, Jimi, Janis and Jim, we’re planning on surviving the party.

Since 1999, Delight has soundtracked 27 years of Monday-night chaos in Portsmouth — and taken that chaos to some of the coolest festivals and clubs around the UK. Indie. Rock. Emo. Pop-punk. DnB. Metal. Thousands upon thousands of people screaming songs at each other until 2am.

We’ve been going so long that some of you now coming to Delight were conceived after your parents had been out getting raucous at Delight... Sorry about that. And welcome to the family.

From Portsmouth dancefloors to festival stages, generations have passed through those doors — but the important bits haven’t changed: huge alternative anthems, packed dancefloors and absolutely no intention of acting our age.
