Biz Dev meetup: Chapter 2 - Know, Like & Trust

Following on from the successful Tears, Tantrums & Triumphs opener in November, Big Knows’ Simon Calderbank will be making further regular appearances in the Manchester Digital calendar throughout 2016. Simon will be sharing his and others’ experiences with business owners and those responsible for winning new business to explore, in more detail, what really makes for successful and effective lead generation.

On Monday 29th February our next session, Know, Like & Trust will focus on the power of Networking. Seen by some as the definitive way to court and nurture relationships, viewed by others as the ‘elephant in the room’, your host Simon will be talking to three key players in the greater Manchester business community, uncovering their very personal and successful take on how the art of networking has made huge strides for them, their companies and their communities.

Adding their opinions to what will be a lively and challenging debate will be Risk Box’s Michael Henderson, an insurance specialist (and one of the North West’s most successful networkers) KO Consulting’s Kathleen O’Connor, a marketing and business development consultant from the Professional Services sector; We Are AD’s newly appointed Head of Business Development, Sophie Southworth.

Simon will be sharing some of his own wide and varied experiences - from BNI Chapter Director to Co-Founder of TwitFaced and in between - mixing up the session with some anecdotes of the good, bad and downright ugly of networking.

The key intentions of these business development sessions are to foster healthy, challenging debate and conversation about the hot potato that is winning new business and encourage each other to share the ideas, experiences and tactics that have helped us win; usually against all the odds!

These events are intended to make attendees more tuned into the art of lead generation and winning the right type of new business; be that by inbound or outbound strategies.

There will be a £10 charge for members and a £12 charge for non members. This includes a selection of post-work nibbles and drinks.

5.45pm - 6.30pm: Registration, networking & nibbles
6.30pm - 8.30pm: Session (with interaction from guests)
8.30pm - 9.00pm: Networking

A full refund will be given for cancellations received any time up to 7 working days prior to the event (unless stated otherwise).
