Music Industry Monday with NWS Music Group

MIM 122: 26th January with NWS Music Group

NWS Music Group is one of the most influential independent record and publishing companies in today’s global music landscape. Founded by industry heavyweights Nick Raphael, Christian Tattersfield, and Ben Bodie, formerly President of Capitol Records, Chairman of Warner Music, and President of BMG/Chrysalis respectively, the team behind NWS has shaped careers for some of the world’s biggest artists.

Across their previous roles, they’ve been responsible for helping discover and develop major acts including Jay-Z, The 1975, Sam Smith, David Gray, Birdy, Aphex Twin, Gnarls Barkley, King Krule, Jai Paul, and many more.

After stepping away from the major-label system, the trio launched NWS Music Group and in under three years, they’ve already delivered over 12 platinum, multi-platinum, or radio #1 records worldwide, including hits like “Headlock” (Imogen Heap), “Tengo Un Plan” (Key-Key & Ozuna), “Addicted” (Naarly), “Who’s Your Guy” (Spyro & Tiwa Savage) and “My Bubble Gum” (Rasheeda).

Alongside signing global records, NWS also runs a thriving talent-development arm, currently working with rising artists Sekou (Republic/Universal) and Mulaa Joans (Atlantic/Warner).

Join us for an exclusive Music Industry Mondays session where the NWS team will share how they identify breakout tracks, build global momentum, and develop artists from the ground up.
