Forget Glastonbury, come to Surya instead. The beer is cold, we’ve got better toilets and we still have great music, including a headliner that we’re very excited about!
Lorenza will be topping the bill for the evening. This three piece from Guildford ooze out confidence through their sound that is beyond their years, having only arising this year. Their catchy Indie/Pop sounds like it’s fresh from Radio 1 and they’ve got lots of exciting things in the pipeline for the near future. They’re definitely ones to watch!
After impressing promoters Absent Kelly before, The Ben Drake Collective are back. The collective from Bedford is the brain child of singer/songwriter and frontman, Ben and they play indie rock loaded with catchy hooks and hints of folk and blues thrown in for good measure.
The Vellas will be there too. Joining us all the way from Sheffield for the show, this four piece play up-beat, melodic guitar music, earning themselves radio airplay and raving reviews on their local scene.
Also on the evening’s bill is The Woods. The Woods is the music of Scottish singer-songwriter Johnny McFadzean, whose been championed by Tom Robinson of BBC Introducing and 6 Music, not to mention TV appearances too!
Opening the show is Jake Thomas Turnbull. Drawing influences from the likes of James Blunt and Ed Sheeran, expect an acoustic set with emotive lyrics from this very talented Northerner.
