Our events provide a forum to meet like-minded beer fans in an environment that’s a little less formal than other networking events. We like all sorts of interesting beer from cask to craft and in particular, the allure of a decent pub. We bring together people with common interests to allow both conversation and new connections to flourish over a delicious pint or two.
Real Ale Networking was created by a group of people who, surprisingly, love real ale. For more information tweet @NetworkingMCR or contact Martin Bloor directly by email or on LinkedIn.
Our next event is:
Join us for a drink and decent natter in the function room of the award-winning Britons Protection.
We’ll get the ball rolling with a couple of pints of complimentary real ale before introducing you to teammates so you can put on your collective thinking caps for a quick ‘quizmasterless quiz’. The night is then yours to meet and make merry with your esteemed company. Most important of all, the line-up will be as follows:
Jennings’ Cumberland
Weighing in at 4% ABV this Lake District born Britons Protection stalwart is a superb golden coloured ale, brewed with English pale ale malt and using only the finest English aromatic hops. Cumberland won Bronze at the International Beer Challenge 2014 and a Silver Award at World Best Beer 2014.
Robinsons’ Unicorn
Brewed since 1896 this Stockport and Greater Manchester classic is 4.3% ABV and a past gold medal winner at the Brewing Industry International Awards. Unicorn is a magnificent pale tart, thirst quenching ale with superb mouth feel of rich malt, hops and complex aromas of Golding hops, malt and tart fruit. It has a long dry finish with citrus fruit notes.
Thwaites’ Britons Protection
Brewed especially for the BP by Lancashire’s favourite brewery, Thwaites, this self- titled best bitter has its origins in a recipe going back as far as 1807. A clean dry tasting and refreshing session bitter with a glowing amber appearance. Brewed using premium grade Maris Otter malt and a blend of traditional English Hops including Goldings and Fuggles to give a malty flavoured beer with a delicate dry finish.
Plus Guest Ales
To be confirmed – the Britons Protection has two hand pumps dedicated to adding variety to patrons’ palattes. The guest ales are ever-changing and consequently, we will be keeping you all in suspense and announcing the two guest ales shortly prior to the event.[@NetworkingMCR](https://twitter.com/networkingmcr)
