Girls Get Creative: Cupcake Decorating

For our cake-loving, West Midlands girlies, this one's for you...

On Sunday 26th May, Girls Get Social will be whisking up a bowl of friendship at our Cupcake Decorating event! We'll be heading to the heart of Birmingham for a jam-packed day, filled with friendship, creativity & tips and tricks by Cake Designer, Ionie Make Cakes, who will be leading the session!

What will happen at the event?

• Before the event, The GGS team will create a WhatsApp group for the attendees so you can put faces to who's attending, arrange meetup points & just say hi before the big day! Attendees will be added to the WhatsApp within 2 days of purchasing a ticket. Please include your mobile number when you buy a ticket to ensure that you will be added.

• 1pm - Doors open. When your ticket is scanned at the door, the GGS team will be there to greet you with a sparkly pink mocktail to start the afternoon!
• 1:30pm - Let the cupcake decorating commence! Cake Designer, Ionie Make Cakes, will be guiding you along the way - starting with a demo of buttercream piping techniques & inspiration for decor! This will then be followed by the freedom to decorate your cupcake however you desire! A wide range of decorations, colours & buttercream will be provided.
• Once this session is over, we'll be rewarding all our girls with some exclusive treats and prizes for all your hard work!
• Throughout this creative day, feel free to mix, mingle and make some friends!
• 4pm - The party's over, time to part ways! Head home safely or feel free to take the party elsewhere and carry on the fun with the friends that you have made 🙂

Ticket Information

• Tickets are non-refundable. However, if your plans change and you can't make it, let us know at girlsgetsocial@gmail.com and we can organise a potential exchange after the tickets are closed. Please note: exchanges can only occur if requested up to 2 days before the event and unfortunately can't be 100% guaranteed, but we will be trying our very best to get it done!

• Tickets will be on sale until 17th May 2024. Please note that this date may be extended or cut off earlier. If this occurs, it will be announced on our social media platforms.

• For just £25, you will receive...
• A sparkly pink mocktail on arrival!
• 6 delicious handmade cupcakes, decorated by yourself - with a box for you to take it home!
• Exclusive prizes & treats along the way - hard work never goes unnoticed!
• A leaflet filled with tips and tricks to further your practice at home!
• A professional tutorial with tips and tricks by Cake Designer, Ionie Make Cakes.
• Cake-loving girlies from across the West Midlands - soon to be your potential besties!
• Refreshments provided - including hot & cold drinks, served with a slice of cake.
• ...and many more special surprises!

• Girls Get Social is a not-for-profit organisation, meaning every ticket sold goes back into the running of our events, making the best experiences for our girls!
• We have very limited spaces for this event so grab your space before it's gone! 
  

Travel

Please note: for your safety, the location address & details will be kept private and revealed upon purchase.

For solo-goers, nervous attendees or girls who just want someone to walk with, we will be setting up a meet-up point at Birmingham New Street Station, led by our lovely GGS Ambassadors! We will let you know a few days before the event the exact details on where to meet up & who will be meeting you (with pictures so you can put a face to a name!)

Tram - The Grand Central tram stop is a quick 15-minute walk from our location

Car - Our venue holds a car park attached to it. If this is full, our nearby Car Parks are North Yard Car Park & Trinity Street Car Park

Bus - Our location is just outside a bus stop at Gibb Street, where many buses stop by

Train - Birmingham New Street station is a straightforward 15-minute walk from our location

Dress code

Come as your pretty self! Aprons will be provided, so don't worry about things getting messy!

Friendly reminders

• All Girls Get Social events are open to 18+ only, please ensure you bring ID for proof of age at entry.
• Please note that there will be some photography at the event. This will be taken on the GGS team's phones and will potentially be used for social media & marketing purposes. Please state when purchasing your ticket - by selecting "I DO NOT give consent" - if you'd prefer for your picture not to be taken!
• We request that this social event be full of positive vibes and that guests refrain from acting negatively towards others. If there are grievances that need addressing or arguments to be had we require them to be discussed outside the event. If any conflict does arise at our event (which is very unlikely) we will kindly ask you to leave and tickets cannot be refunded.
