“The indie-est band in the world” according to BBC Radio’s Huw Stephens, The Loves are back with a career spanning compilation TRUE LOVE - THE MOST OF THE LOVES out now on Daytrip Records.
From 2000 to 2011, The Loves were the most despised band in Cardiff and also favourites of John Peel doing 4 sessions for him in 2 years. They played all over the world to tens of people and never broke even.
This is not a reformation, this is a victory lap.

WATERPISTOL
Taking inspiration from the likes of Brian Jonestown Massacre, Marty Robbins and the Mamas and the Papas, singing guitarist Aaron Tormey started writing for a project that would later become the rock n roll collective Waterpistol. Reflecting his vision, the six-piece combines the celestial make-up of 90s shoegaze with the late 60s unfolding of folk, jazz and the blues. The band's first single "Living In A Dream" is a dream-like and visceral track with an underlying tongue-in-cheek delivery, referring to the grind of the 9 to 5.

SPENCER SEGELOV & GREAT PAINTINGS
Genre-hopping songwriter Spencer Segelov and his band Great Paintings serve up sparkling, hook-packed pop, precision tooled for the indie disco dancefloor. Drawing on influences like Teenage Fanclub, Belle & Sebastian and REM, get ready for a feast of jangling guitars, ear-worm choruses and melodies that linger long in the memory.
