Marketing workshops for arts and creative professionals in Shropshire

The Art of Engagement is a two day marketing workshop designed to help artists, creatives and anyone working in the creative industries in Shropshire develop a clear and manageable marketing strategy for their business, idea or organisation.  The workshops are packed with useful information, but are not simply a drawn-out-yawn-inducing lecture. The workshops are fun, challenging and inspiring. You'll develop your own ideas and play around with techniques, working individually and as a group.  The core idea is to enable you to 'take control of your marketing' to move your idea forward as well as spend time with other local creatives in a supportive environment.

Jessie an experienced tutor and supportive coach, she is passionate about the arts and creative marketing. Jessie believes that there is huge opportunity for artists and creative professionals to take advantage of modern marketing techniques but often a gap in understanding because the topic feel so huge.  These workshops have been created to help bridge that gap, initially rolled out in Mid Wales the workshops have now come to sunny Shropshire.
Over the course of the two days (separated by a month so you can implement what you've learned and voice any barriers) the workshops will breakdown some big ideas into manageable chunks and empower you to take key steps towards making your business work for you and engaging the customers you want.

Nobody was born a great artist and developing a marketing strategy that works for you takes time and a bit of pencil chewing, but with the help of Jessie and others in the group you'll walk away feeling enthused and ready to take control of your marketing.

Day 1:

Setting your Vision, Mission and coming up with some core values that will help guide you

Looking at your goals and what you want to achieve (and how we can get there)

The digital marketing landscape and how to play with it

Self promotional writing for your audience and how you can start to enjoy it (yes you can!)

Basic time management

Day 2:

Building a website that works for you, including 'quick wins' that you can implement straight away

Social Media marketing and how to engage your audience

Blogging and how you can sing about your world and your interests in order to engage your audience

PR and Partnerships - you are not an island

Marketing strategy development

You'll receive a comprehensive 'Playbook' to work though during the session, which will form the basis of your marketing strategy and help you achieve what you want to this year and beyond.
A delicious lunch will also be provided

After the second day you'll be able to take advantage of a discounted one-on-one consultany session with Jessie, where she'll come to your studio, home or business and help you get a plan of action in place.

Testimonials from previous workshops:

"Jessie is a compelling trainer – supremely thoughtful and intelligent. She is unique amongst trainers that I have encountered in that she never brings it back to herself and her experiences; it’s all about us as the trainees. Jessie is insightful and is quick to get to the crux of an issue or barrier, and is skilled at coaching you to a solution. It was so much more than a course about marketing; it gave me the space and methodology to tackle much wider organisational issues and planning which I am now fastidious about applying in my daily work life.
To say the course provoked a revolution in my approach to strategy is not to overstate it, and at a time when it’s a struggle to properly resource in the third sector, I feel much more able to build in time to communicate confidently with our audiences. I have no hesitation in recommending this course, particularly to those who are juggling multiple ‘hats’ within their organisation.

You will come away with a plan and the ability to action it!"
