Prohibition present: The Electric Swing Circus

Prohibition turn 4 this Spring and are celebrating with an evening of live Electro Swing music, djs & dancing!

In December 1920, Bertram Mills opened his Circus to the general public at the Olympia Exhibition Centre in London.. it ran until 1967! .The circus in Britain declined during the 1920s, but the circuses produced by Bertram Mills, a wealthy undertaker who had invented the glass hearse, were a spectacular exception to the rule!!

Join Prohibition for our take on the 1920s circus... 'Speakeasy Carnival' as we celebrate 4 happy years of filling Manchester with Electro Swing music! 

There will be djs, live music, dancing, performers, stalls and CAKE, because you can't have a birthday party without cake!

As is the Prohibition way, vintage dress is very much encouraged! Think Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers, classic 1920s style or why not dress for a vintage carnival! It's our birthday, so we want to see plenty of sparkle! 

We have come a long way since our humble beginnings in Chorlton's former bar the Nook.. there have been ups and downs, highs and lows but we have always hung on in there! Now we can not wait to celebrate our 4th Birthday with you lovely ladies and gentlemen.
