Lucky Duck: Sculpting Social is a relaxed, beginner-friendly clay workshop for anyone who fancies getting their hands messy, making something fun and meeting some lovely people along the way.

We'll spend two hours playing with air-dry clay, learning some simple sculpting techniques and making our own little creations. I'll be there to guide you, give you ideas and help when you get stuck — but there's absolutely no pressure to be "good" at it. All that's required is a willingness to try!

You can come with an idea, follow some creative prompts, or just start squishing clay and see what happens.

You can come alone or bring a mate; you'll certainly meet some new people when you get there. The clay gives us something to do with our hands, so there's no pressure to make awkward small talk — just come along, get stuck in and make something silly.

No previous sculpting experience is needed!

Drinks are welcome during the workshop but not provided; feel free to bring your own if you'd like. There is no bar on site, though drinking water is available.

We'll be working with clay throughout the session, so please save any food for before or after the workshop rather than bringing it into the classroom area 🫶

📍 Finding us

The workshop will take place in the classroom area at GRIT Studios, Great Northern, Manchester.

The entrance can be a little tricky to find, so don't worry if you're not immediately sure where to go! Full arrival and directions information will be sent to ticket holders before the event.
