HAGAR THE WOMB
OMEGA TRIBE
ANGERLAND
HAGAR THE WOMB
Finally at an Undercover gig, as its been a while to get this over the line, for a gig we are so looking forward to.
A female-fronted punk rock band that emerged from the early 1980s UK anarcho-punk scene. Known for their quirky vocalisations, clever lyrics, and upbeat instrumentation, they offered a melodic yet biting alternative to the typical harsh sounds of their contemporaries.
Unlike many of their hardcore contemporaries who focused on embryonic noise blasts, Hagar The Womb blended the fast-paced, anti-establishment spirit of punk with melodic hooks, tight rhythm sections, and rich guitar sounds. Their lyrical themes tackled everything from biting political commentary to playful, independent-thinking rebellion.
OMEGA TRIBE
Formed in 1981. Originally renowned for their tuneful and melodic approach within the early 80s "peace and freedom" punk scene, the group evolved to embrace a catchy power-pop punk sound while maintaining deep anti-establishment and socially conscious lyrics.
Today, the group remains active on the live circuit and through releases on Grow Your Own Records. Their modern outputāsuch as the recent LP Power Pop Punk Rockāblends catchy melodies with deeply political and personal themes, advocating for love, solidarity, and diversity
ANGERLAND
A bit different than the other two bands a cracker of a first bands for this gig.
Angerland
a London-based, post-punk/rock band known for their raw, high-energy sound, politically charged lyrics, and DIY punk roots. Drawing heavy stylistic comparisons to pioneering acts like Killing Joke, Ruts DC, and New Model Army.
Ā£13 in advance
Ā£15 On The Door
