Deck A Dance 001 - Dan Shake / Byron The Aquarius & More

Welcome to Jack Priest’s Deck-A-Dance; a month-long series of eclectic dance parties, hosted by Crew Love's very own. Each week Jack will be joined by an incredible act of his choosing from around the world as well as local influencers. Join us for our Bristol luanch party with...

Dan Shake

The London-based artist has done what no other has done before him, landing his debut release back in 2014 on Moodymann’s prestigious label Mahogani Music, with no Detroit heritage. This has been followed with numerous self released records on his label Shake, and this year on Lumberjacks in Hell. Outside of this, Dan has launched a 12” edit series, Shake Tapes, gaining support from respected selectors such as Antal, Mafalda and Gilles Peterson. 2018 has begun with a heated Boiler Room affair in Melbourne and monthly residency on London based radio station Rinse FM.

Bryon The Aquarius

Hailing from Birmingham, Alabama, Byron launched his production career in 2007, collaborating with well-known Parisian producer Onra on an EP entitled “The Big Payback.” That collaboration led to numerous releases on independent labels like Rush Hour, Warp (with Flying Lotus), HHV, Circulations, Reebok Classics A Journey into Future, Real Soon, Giant Step Records and Kyle Halls esteemed Detroit label, Wild Oats.

Jack Priest

Jack Priest has been honing his skills under the mentoring of legendary producer Green Velvet, and with a not so serious approach to electronic music the dance-pop artist’s work has quickly gained global support from the likes of BBC Radio 1. Recently Jack moved into release his debut EP on Wolf and Lamb Records entitled “Ladies Night” whilst working on club project Deck-A-Dance.

Daisy Moon

Daisy Moon is a DJ and producer based in Bristol, UK, and a key protagonist in the city’s underground dance music scene. Known for weaving strands including techno, electro and deep house into her immersive and blended sets, Daisy cut her teeth as a resident at the Idle Hands-affiliated club night, Brstl, a monthly event dedicated to artists and DJs making and playing music in the city.

Syz

Producer and DJ from Brighton, but based in Bristol, creating predominately Techno-oriented sound system music. Representing for Method Lab and Only Ruins, his tunes can switch from murky and atmospheric to industrial and percussive with ease.

Sam Hall

Sam Hall is a 25 year old DJ from Bristol. He was born in Liverpool and moved to Bristol at an early age, surrounding himself with the exciting musical culture that the city has to offer. Through a passion of electronic music, Sam eventually found his niche in the genres of House and Techno. This led him to develop a keen interest in old classic records whilst still keeping up to date with modern day releases. His sets consist of a variety of these two genres with influences taken from late 80’s and 90’s records and DJ’s from Chicago, Detroit and the UK.
