The panelist all work in and will cover conversations around the following roles: live sound, stage management, content creation, radio presenting, interviewing & presenting, marketing, youth music, talent development, artist management, photography, videography, live bookings & more.

More about the panelists:

Eddie Scott

Artist Development Lead, Songwriter & Musician

As a songwriter, Eddie has had his songs played on national TV & Radio, writing with numerous bands and artists from around the UK. He has toured extensively, both nationally and throughout Europe as a musician, including performances at major festivals such as Glastonbury, support slots with legendary figures such as Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and an exclusive performance for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in 2018.

His work leading on the Next Steps and Young Musicians Project programmes for We Make Culture has supported artists to write their first songs, release their debut singles, tour for the first time and sign their first deals; this experience has also led Eddie to dip his toe into artist management, where he continues to work independently as a mentor and consultant for emerging artists.

Emma Millen

Radio Producer, Audio Presenter & Content Creator

Hey! I’m Emma, a Radio Presenter, freelance Audio Producer and all-round content creator from the North East. I’ve been doing my thing in the creative world for the past 5 years, and in that time I’ve popped up on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio Newcastle, Tees and Cumbria.

As a freelancer, every day looks totally different (in the best way). One minute I’m hosting a show or grabbing content, the next I’m interviewing someone cool, editing audio, making socials, working with artists and creators, or pulling everything together behind the scenes as a producer. I also work across podcasts, audiobooks and voiceovers - basically, if it involves sound or storytelling, I’m in.

Daryl Jenkins

Live Music Marketing Manager, Presenter & Content Creator

Daryl is a 27 year old presenter and Live Music Marketing Manager based in Newcastle. Having worked in the music industry full-time for 4 years, she currently manages all marketing at O2 City Hall Newcastle; looking after advertising budgets and social media coverage for some huge shows like Kasabian, Lily Allen and CMAT. Outside of full-time work, she hosts a radio show on Spark Sunderland and freelances in presenting; interviewing artists, hosting events and creating social media content for festivals.

Some career highlights from the last year have included presenting on Radio 1, introducing speakers at the 2025 Mercury Prize Fringe, launching a YouTube-led artist interview series at Newcastle’s travelling fair, being the social media face for Live At Leeds Festival and interviewing on behalf of Academy Music Group at Reading & Leeds.

Elle McCartney

Live Sound Engineer

I am Elle McCartney and I am 20 years old, I have been working in the music industry for just short of 3 years now. I am a freelance sound engineer as well as being a co-founder of Viva La Femme. Due to being a sound engineer I get to travel with my job whilst on tour, work with something different every day and get to discover so many different genres and styles of music. With Viva La Femme I am able to help people get opportunities in the music industry and dive into the promotion side of things instead of just tech.

Amy Johnson

Booking Coordinator

My name is Amy Johnson, I am 26 years old and I currently work at ROAM, an independent booking agency. I have been working at ROAM for almost three years as a tour coordinator. Within my role, I handle daily operations like managing schedules, updating artist info (bios, riders, marketing assets), coordinating show details (contracts, itineraries, announcements, tickets, settlements), managing promoter comms, and liaising with accounting and legal (immigration paperwork) to ensure smooth booking and touring processes for artists. I am able to watch the life cycle of tour, from early planning conversations with artists and managers to the final stage of being at the shows.
Full roster I work on can be found here: https://roamartists.com/#agent-skully-kaplan/
