Augustine

Recently received my degree in international relations. Born in the Congo and grew up in the UK, opened up the Afro hair bar Ditox @ditoxhairbarmcr by fusing my passion for hair and politics. She believes our relationship with our hair is shaped by politics and history, especially for Black women.

At Ditox, we provide Afro hair care and advocate for education with the goal of changing people’s opinions about Black hair. Through providing distinctive natural hairstyles and treatments, we inspire people to accept their hair and overcome social constraints. Our goal is to change beauty standards for hair and empower Black people via self-love.
