Earl Jeffers All Night at Cubo - Sat 26th May

We are extremely excited to announce that EARL JEFFERS will be joining us at CUBO on the 26th May for an all night long set. 

Cardiff’s Earl Jeffers, formally known as Chesus, is most known for his hard hitting edit of 'Alicia Myers - I WANT TO THANK YOU' along with his massive track 'SPECIAL' under his former alias 'Chesus':

With releases that are raw house to put it succinctly, and has so far come on influential labels like Gerd’s 4Lux and Local Talk as well as Doc Daneeka’s Ten Thousand Yen and Addison Grooves’ Lost in Translation. Appealing to a broad array of knowing DJs, the likes of Kerri Chandler, Todd Terry, Skream and Mosca have all played this Welshman’s joints in the past.

As a keen record collector and crate digger, a great sense of history subtly permeates this man’s work; meaning old samples or Roy Ayres are as likely to crop up in his sounds as are forward facing synth motifs or classic 90s vibes. As such, the man’s DJ sets are also wide reaching affairs that call on years of music appreciation and have seen him play all across the UK, Germany and the Netherlands in recent times.

Supporting Earl in the top room are the new kids on the block Sun Street Collective, a group of DJs and other creatives that have just run a second hugely successful event at CUBO in early May. Resident DJs Memsis & Shepard will be joining us bringing their eclectic mixing style, pulling on as many musical influences as possible through the medium of House & Techno. Expect to hear shades of Jazz, Soul, Latin, Afrobeat and some feel good Disco in an all night epic B2B.
