Sonner formed in 2007 out of the grit forged from the redundant coalfields of Co Durham and Sunderland. After performing extensively throughout the country in a 5 year period, which saw various EP and single releases, Sonner called it a day in 2012.
13 years later, in 2025, armed with a new bass player, an arsenal of new songs and an improved craft - a reunion was whispered.
In a year where reunion has loomed large in the media, there’s a sense that there is an appetite, perhaps more than ever, for guitars, melody and chorus. Watch this space….

Flat level parking is available directly opposite the venue, free after 3pm on weekdays and after 6pm on Saturdays & Sundays. Sunderland train station is just a two-minute walk and the bus interchange is a five-minute walk.
