The Lion meets the Cat
Sat the 12th of September we return to the basement at Gonzo's for a night of conscious roots and culture sound system vibrations, playing in tribute to the life & memory of Sam Leah. Builder of our bass bins, honorary Rebel Lion crew member and all round legend..R.I.E.P.
And we're thoroughly buzzing to have the multi-talented, multi- versatile, most-wanted, Brumtown/ Birmingveg microphone legend, Cheshire Cat, joining us for musikal proceedings on the nite when 'The Lion Meets The Cat' ! ! !
Cat held the mic & forged his craft on many a local Brum sound system over multiple years before joining the all conquering Luv Injection Sound, where his reputation was cemented on, who many considered, Brum's no.1 sound of that era. And who were undoubtedly were in the very top echelon of UK sounds.
Whilst never straying from his reggae roots, on his musical journey he has also taken his multi-faceted lyrical tool bag to work across the musical genres.
His CV includes work with the likes of Leftfield, Mungo's Hi Fi, Aries, More Rockers/Smith & Mighty, Jam Jah Sound/Friendly Fire Band, Bally Sagoo and Born On Road.
And he reaches Norwich, fresh off a barnstorming performance at this years' Reggae Geel Festival...
Sam this one's for you .....
