GRIT – Power to Women* in the Events Industry

GRIT – Power to Women* in the Events Industry is a Masterclass for women and other people of marginalised genders, aimed to equip them with the confidence and skills to make their voices heard and succeed in the events industry.

This will be achieved through three segments of focus talks given by different guest speakers. They will each focus on a different angle such as: 1. Personal journey and challenges faced by women and people of marginalised genders in the Events Industry ; 2. Building community/networking and creating spaces where women* succeed; and 3. Speech and delivery: How to assert yourself, deal with and correct misogynistic behaviour in professional settings.

The evening will include a Q&A panel with the speakers, guided group exercises and plenty of opportunities for networking! Our objective is to empower future event professionals and generate positive change within the Events Industry – and we believe that building community is an essential part of this.

All proceeds will be donated to Be More Dandelion, a survivor network supporting and empowering women who have experienced domestic abuse.
