University of Portsmouth Holi 2024

Holi is a popular and significant Hindu festival celebrated as the Festival of Colours, Love, and Spring. It celebrates the eternal and divine love of the hindu deities. Additionally, the day signifies the triumph of good over evil.

Join the University of Portsmouth Indian Society to celebrate the annual festival of Holi!

The colour throwing celebration is will take place on Saturday 24rd March at 12pm (midday) at Gun House Green (behind the Students' Union/The Terrace Cafe).

This event is organised by University of Portsmouth and the Indian Society and University of Portsmouth.

This event is open to all adults over the age of 18. 

IMPORTANT:

Only people with tickets are able to participate in the event.

Coloured powder will be used at this event. If you have sensitive skin or know you are allergic to paint powder, please inform the event organiser prior to the event. A full list of paint ingredients will be available.

Please wear white tops that you are prepared to have coloured paint thrown on. All colour should wash off, but we cannot guarantee this and event organisers cannot be held responsible for any lasting damage.

Do not to bring items that you do not want to risk being damaged by paint etc.

Personal possessions are taken into arena at your own risk and the event’s organisers cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage.

Please wear appropriate footwear for running. We suggest flat, non-slip footwear.

This event will go ahead if it rains. If weather is extreme (e.g. high winds, storms) the event organisers may take the decision to cancel the event.
