Ragtop Down celebrate their debut album ‘Contents May Settle’, crammed with sunny harmony-drenched folk-n-jangle acoustica from writer-songsingers Gaby Szabo (mandola) and Ben Tunningley (guitar).
Filled out by multi-instrumentalist roots reptiles Lyle Zimmerman and Roger Askew (who also produced) and percussionist Hjordis Moon Badford, the whole crew will be in gear for the album launch. Devotees of Gillian Welch, Patty Griffin and Bruce Springsteen will feel right at home.
Opening set from beloved harmony & heart duo Kitchen Drinkers (Mike Perrett (Dog Roses) and Sally George), then Ragtop Down in the middle, and finally George St. Clair And His Full Band finish the party off with beautifully crafted tales from the deserts and mountains of George’s West Texas and New Mexico background.
