JCI Manchester Public Speaking Club

The May edition of our public speaking workshop series.  This workshop will focus on the 5-7 minute speech format.

All attendees are asked to prepare a speech of approximately 5-7 minutes.  (We will time them, but won’t enforce the limits strictly!)

The topic is completely up to you.  However, if you need any ideas, here are some random suggestions:

• A speaker/leader that you admire
• A big personal or work challenge (past or future)
• A great/weird/awful place you’ve visited
• Something we don’t know about you
• Something you’ve learned or benefited from, through JCI or any similar organisation
• The first thing you’d change if you were in charge
• Or anything else you’d like to talk about

Speeches won’t be formally marked, but we will give each other feedback, and you might be interested to know that JCI International Public Speaking rules award points for (i) content, (ii) delivery and (iii) language.
