Comedy Night with Jo Caulfield!

An evening of stand-up comedy in the stylish setting of the red dot bar.Event Description:An evening of stand-up comedy in the stylish setting of the red dot bar headlined by Jo Caulfield “one of the finest female comics at work” (The Observer) who has recently been nominated as “the best female Stand-Up in the country” (Chortle.co.uk). She is also Graham Norton’s head writer. “She is, quite simply, a damn funny woman” (The Scotsman).

Jo is a regular guest on both Mock The Week (BBC2) and Have I Got News For You (BBC1). Other TV appearances include: Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC2), Saturday Night Live (ITV1), The Comedy Store series 2, 4 & 7 (Ch5), The Comedian’s Comedian (Ch4), Music Hall Meltdown (BBC4), The Bigger Picture (BBC2), Dawn French’s Girls Who Do Comedy (BBC2), The Stand Up Show (BBC1) and World Stand’s Up (Paramount/Comedy Central).

Jo wrote and starred in 3 series of her own critically acclaimed Radio 4 comedy show, “It’s That Jo Caulfield Again”.

Hosting the show is Caroline Mabey. Caroline hosted what was in essence a trial run of The Comedy Cow when we ran a handful of nights over at The Broughton Hotel. Caroline’s stand-up combines eccentric charm and mischievous banter with strong gags. She is an experienced compere and is resident MC at the 99 Club in London.

Opening the show is Jimmy James Jones, a comic/actor on the rise, with his crazy physical presence on stage to his smile, he has a way of making a audience laugh without even saying a word. Milton Keynes based, he is a joy to watch on stage with his crazy family stories to the way he views life, you will be crazy not to enjoy him on stage and off stage! Jimmy is the resident compere at the world famous Comedy Cafe in London, and never fails to deliver for us in MK!

In the middle is Adam Rowe who first stepped on stage back in 2010, aged just 18. A little over a year later he was named Liverpool Comedian of the Year and has since gone on to establish himself as one of the most exciting young acts in the country. A combination of observations, stories and a ferociously quick wit make Adam not only a strong act, but a formidable MC. His undeniable likability has led to constantly growing fan base and two sell out solo shows at The Liverpool Comedy Festival (2013 & 2014), with his Edinburgh debut set to be 2016. It may be a cliche, but there seems to be no stopping this hotly tipped young scouser.
